Biography Auerbach, Ivan Bogdanovic
Born in 1815, he studied mineralogy in Berlin from Weiss and Rose, and chemistry at Ramelsberga. Returning to Russia, has devoted himself to the study of geology and ancillary thereto sciences. Together with her friend P. Herman (aka our researcher in the field of chemical mineralogy) toured the Urals and Finland, which became closely acquainted with mineralogical riches Russia. In 1854, on behalf of the Imperial Geographical Society, went to the Caspian steppe to the mountain Bogd to study the location of sulfur. On his return thoroughly processed material collected on geognosticheskih features of this mountain, interesting in many respects, is the largest work of A., not quite a finished.
