Biography ASHNBERG Alexey
(1837 - 1899), writer. He graduated from the course at the Faculty of Moscow University. A barrister in St. Petersburg. Put a lot of novels, short stories and articles in the "Entertainment" (1859 - 1867), "Moscow Gazette" (1860 - 1861), "our time", N.F. Pavlova, "intermission", "Russian stage", "heartfelt word", "World Pictures" and others. He has translated the poem Malczewski "Maria" and several other poems by Polish poets. Best known as the author of farces ( "celadon Pasha", "Hour of visits," "On the fresh water", "money-box", "step is the hardest was to be decided", "Seven Simeons", "zero hour", "Do not got there and etc.) and as a translator of a number of operettas and comedies of Moliere "tiresome".
