Biography Babukhin Alexander
(1835 - 91). After graduating from the course at the medical faculty of Moscow State University, B. was appointed Coroner of comparative anatomy, then physiology. In 1862 for his thesis "On the relation of the vagus nerve to the heart" is recognized as a doctor of medicine and sent to 2 years abroad. Upon his return took the chair of Histology and Embryology. In order to study the electric fish B. has made a special trip to Egypt in 1876. Valuable works of B. published in the Moscow Medical newspaper ", in the minutes of physical-medical society and in the course of German literary magazines. The most important of them: "The development and significance of the electrical apparatus in Torpedo" (Proceedings of the II Congress of Russian Naturalists, 1869) and "On the lens and the sense of smell" in the translation of the textbook of histology Shtrikera (St. Petersburg, 1872).
