Biography BASKIN Vladimir
Born in 1855. He graduated from the course at the Faculty of St. Petersburg University. He served in the Ministry of Finance. On literary career was made by the drama "At the Crossroads" (St. Petersburg, 1880). Since 1882 B. is an active music and theater reviewer. He owns a number of articles: "Don Juanism" (magazine "Russia", 1884 - 85), of Shakespeare, Schiller, Goethe, Moliere, Tirso de Molina, Ostrovsky and other. Articles Serowe, Rubinstein, Tchaikovsky and Mussorgsky printed in Russian Thought, 1880, and in other journals, and published separately under the title "Russian composers". Several other articles B. and musical biographies, published in the journals: "Work", "Age", "Observer", "Pictorial Review, and especially many in the" Cornfield ". In the 1890's and 1900's was a music reviewer Petersburg Gazette.
