Biography Bain August-Carl A.
(1816 - 58), professor of architecture. He was educated at Peter and Paul German school in St. Petersburg. Since 1829. visited the classes of the Academy of Fine Arts, a course which he graduated in 1835, Mr.. with a silver medal. In 1836, Mr.. awarded a second gold medal for the "Draft Law School". Since 1836 - 40 g. was an assistant architect Alexander Bryullov. In 1841, Mr.. sent abroad. In Russia back in 1849, visiting Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Britain, Syria and Egypt. Upon his return - and the Academy awarded 1 st gold medal. From 1850 - 52 years, again sent abroad. Author of many architectural compositions and drawings. Builder home Nobility in St. Petersburg.
