Biography VILLIERS Tcherniakov
Born in St. Petersburg in 1838, was educated in the Nicholas cadet school, he served in the Life Guards Regiment from 1857 to 1862, as an officer he studied watercolor painting with L.O. Premazzi, make sure of its ability to her, resigned to devote undivided art. Villiers again went abroad, . lived and worked in Dц?sseldorf, . Munich, . Venice, . Florence and, . Finally, . long stop in Paris, . whence he returned to Russia only in 1886, . Since then he has devoted himself to studying the monuments of ancient architecture and way of life and play them in the workshops watercolors, equally curious, and for archaeologists and art lovers. Villiers is one of the most active members of St. Petersburg society watercolors and continuously involved in its exhibitions. A. P-in.
