Biography GOLDENSHTEYN Edward Yul'evich
(1851 - 1887), brother M.Yu.. Goldstein, born in Odessa, in a Jewish family, studied at the Leipzig Conservatory Moshelesa and Reynard (1868 - 72). Returning to Russia, . Goldstein emerged as a pianist and theorist, was a teacher in St. Petersburg Conservatory, . and conducted with great success in opera productions in St. Petersburg drama, . where, under his direction was the first Khovanshchina Mussorgsky (1886), . Consisted music critic of the "Voices", "minutes", "Music Review" (1886 - 87), "Art", fervently defending the new Russian music.
