. Vorlesungen uber die altaischen Volker ", 1857; Vorlesungen uber die finnische Mythologie" 1858; "Kleinere Schriften", 1862; last work had already come to the author's death. Caströ?n took a group of Ural-Altaic languages as something in common, differences in its five divisions or branches: Finnish, Samoyed, Tungus, Mongol and Turkic. As he met relatives of Sayan Samoyed, there still exist traces of the Samoyed, hence he concluded that the Samoyed came to the North from the South, from the headwaters of the Yenisei. From the same places and he led the Finns, who have spread, in his opinion, from southern Siberia on the Ob river, crossed the Urals and then colonized the northern and central Russia. With regard to the Samoyed, the arrival of the south of Siberia is very likely, but the Finns on the hypothesis Castro is quite a problematic and rejected the latest finnologami. D. A.
