Biography Kostyra Nicholas Trofimovich
(1818 - 1853). He graduated from the course at the philosophical faculty of Kiev University, . where then read the story of Old Russian literature, . well as the theory of poetry and prose, . guided by antiquated vocabulary Sulzer and aesthetics of Hegel, . which explains the abstraction and the darkness of his lectures of the then, . He received a master's degree for a thesis: "The significance of Zhukovsky and Batiushkov in Russian literature" (1845), a doctorate for a thesis: "The subject, method and purpose of the philological study of the Russian language" (Kiev, 1846 - 1856). The latter work drew sharp attacks critics, pointing to the lack of familiarity with the author's comparative linguistics. Kostyra answered pamphlet: "Scientists of information about the attacks on the views of Professor Buslaeva Dorn academician and professor Kostyrya about the origin and meaning of symbols b and b in the Russian language" (Kharkov, 1851). Turning to Kharkov, Kostyra read the aesthetics and the history of Russian literature, and his lectures were in the nature of improvisation, with a touch of dreaminess. Kostyra published again: "The establishment and opening of the Kharkiv Nobles" (Moscow, . 1851); "Father, . Zhukovsky and Pushkin "(Kharkov, . 1853; destroyed by the author), "Philological Researches in Pereslavl and Kiev" ( "Report of the Kharkov University, . 1851 - 1852, reprinted in the Journal of the Ministry of National Education ", . 1853, . Part LXXVII), . The latter work presents an overview of the monuments Church Slavonic Literature XV - XVI centuries, preserved in the Golden Domes-Michael's Monastery.
