Biography Kryukov, Dmitry L.
(1809 - 1845). He graduated from the course on literary department of the Kazan University in Dorpat, mastered the art of ease and grace to speak Latin. He received his Ph.D., . for his thesis: "In Taciti Agricolam observationes" (Dorpat, . 1832), . and was sent abroad, . where especially imbued with the views of August Beck on the importance of studying the fundamentals of the economy for the understanding of ancient culture, . He was a professor of Roman literature and antiquities in Moscow, and has lectured on ancient history. Separately issued another: "Agricola" of Tacitus, with notes. (Moscow, 1836); "De Q. Curtii Rufi aetate ", speech at the act of 1836, Mr.. (Moscow, 1836) and "Andeutungen uber den ursprunglichen Religionsunterschied der Romischen Patricier und Plebeier" (Leipzig, 1849, under the pseudonym Dr. D. Pellegrino; the same in Russian and the surname Krukova in Propileyah, t. IV, Moscow, 1854). Last essay, the remaining unfinished, was designed to trace the difference of the Roman patricians and plebeians in their beliefs and institutions. In Moskvityanin "1841 g. Kryukov posted article: "The tragic history of Tacitus" and "A few words about the case of Dramatic Art at the game master Karatygina". As a professor, Kryukov produced an irresistible impression on the audience, it was often called near Granovsky. Memory Krukova devoted heartfelt poem Feta. - Wed.
