Biography Morozevich Joseph Avgustinovich
Born in 1865. Educated in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Warsaw. In 1895 he took part in the expedition F.N. Chernysheva on Novaya Zemlya. He received a master's degree for his thesis: "Experiments on the formation of minerals in the magma (Warsaw, 1897) - capital works on artificial obtaining minerals and study the laws of crystallization of igneous rocks. Consisting geologist of the Geological Committee in Petrograd, was engaged in geological research in the Urals, in Mariupol, Berdyansk and Taganrog counties studied the structure of the Magnetic Mountains in the southern Urals. On behalf of the Department of Mining has made an expedition to the Commander Islands. Since 1904, he has been Chair of Mineralogy at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
