Biography PAVLOVSKY Alexey
Born in 1856. Educated in the 6-th St. Petersburg High School and St. Petersburg University. From 1880 to 1891. was a lecturer of history at the Central School of Technical Drawing of Baron Stieglitz, whose leadership has made on ancient history, drew particular attention to the history of life and art. From 1887 to 1891 was assistant professor of St. Petersburg University. Protection in Kiev master's thesis "Painting the Palatine Chapel in Palermo" (St. Petersburg, 1890) was appointed the post of extraordinary professor of the University of Novorossiysk. In 1896 he defended his doctoral thesis "sculpture in Attica before the Greco-Persian Wars" (St. Petersburg, 1896).
