Biography Anna Kingsford
(Kingsford; nee Bonacieux (Bonus)) (16.09.1846, 17:00, Maryland Point, Stratford, Essex - 22.02.1888, Uinnstey Gardens, Kensington) -- Literary career began in his youth, his first book published at age 17. In 1867, Mr.. married Oldzhernona Godfrey Kingsford, vicar of Etcheme, Shropshire. In 1870, Mr.. adopted Catholicism. In 1872-73 he. published the newspaper "Lady's Own Paper", which actively supported the movement antivivisektsionistov. In 1874,. K. went to Paris to study medicine, where 22 July 1880, Mr.. defended her doctoral dissertation on the benefits of a vegetarian diet. Then K. opened a private practice in London and won a high reputation as a doctor (especially in the treatment of women). In 1883, Mr.. K. became president of the Theosophical Society (cm. Theosophy), in 1884. founded the Hermetic Society. This society continued to exist after death to. (She died in 1888. from pulmonary tuberculosis) and was following in the U.S..
To. was extraordinarily beautiful woman, enjoyed great success as a physician. She was also one of the first women with higher education. Among her many works should be noted "The Virgin of the World" (translated writings of Hermes Trismegistus), "Astrology theologized", "Clothed with the Sun".
To. had a great influence on the MacGregor Mathers, one of the founders of the famous Order of the Golden Dawn.
