Biography Manasseh Constantine (Manasses)
(ok.1130 - 1187) Metropolitan Navpakta. He wrote three astrological poems under the pen name Theodore Prodromus (Theodorus Prodromus). Chief among these poems, published in the XIX century., Devoted patron M. sevastokratorisse Irina, the wife of Andronicus, the second son of Emperor John II Comnenus (1118 - 1143). The content of this poem is similar to the works of John Kamatira. It also describes the signs of the zodiac, the position of stars on the properties and relationships of the planets.
M. is also the author of many other works - a world of poetic chronicle "Synopsis historike", covering the period from the Creation to 1081, rhetorical works, the famous novel in verse "On Aristander and Kallithea".
