GU SYANCHEN

(1550-1612)
Born September 17, 1550 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. In 1580 received the highest degree of Jinsha, held high positions rad. In 1594 dismissed and demoted in 1602 restored in ranks, but the service did not return. In 1604 re-established the Academy of Dunlin. Died June 21, 1612.
