Biography Charles Dufresne (Dufresne Charles)
(1876-1938) is also known under the name of Maurice Dufresne
Born November 23, 1876 in Millmone. He studied engraving at first, then the medal art at Ponkarma; started painting when he was already more than thirty years. In 1910-1912 Dufresne lived at the Villa Abd-el-Typhus in Algeria, where she first tried his hand at painting. Later, he discovered the works of Fauvism and the Cubists, was introduced to AndrцL Dunoyer de Segonzakom, Jean-Louis Busseno and Roger de La Frenet. Allegorical composition 1920 Discovery of America and Orpheus are typical of the mature period of the master's. Dufresne died in La-Sept 8 August 1938.
