Biography O `Hara, John (O` Hara John)
(1905-1970) Born January 31, 1905 in Potsville (pc. Pennsylvania). Passed the entrance examinations to Yale University, but the study prevented the death of his father. He became a newspaper reporter, published in the magazine 'Time' ( 'Time'), 'New Yorker' ( 'The New Yorker'). In the first novel, Appointment in Samarra (Appointment in Samarra, 1934) with frightening convincingly showed how a person's character determines his fate. In the novel, Butterfield 8 (Butterfield 8, 1935) introduced the catastrophe of a young woman having an affair unreadable. In the next forty years, O'Hara has written more than a dozen novels and hundreds of short stories, several plays and novels. Scenes from the life of a nightclub in Koresh Joey (Pal Joey, 1940) formed the basis for a musical, successfully walking on Broadway. In the novel thirst live (A Rage to Live, 1949) describes the Pennsylvania town and amorous adventures of a married wealthy ladies. North Roman Street. Frederick, 10 (Ten North Frederick, 1955), as the amorous adventures of Pennsylvanians, was marked by the National Book Award in 1956. O'Hara died at Princeton (pc. New Jersey) April 11, 1970.
