In his next and, as many believe, the best film Jules and Jim (Jules and Jim, 1961) Truffaut with a rich expression told the story of two friends in love with a woman. Picture differs richness and subtlety of the narrative, usually characteristic of a novel.

Truffaut was born on February 6, 1932 in Paris. Starting his career as a film critic, in the mid 1950's switched to directing. Most of his films can be grouped according to certain themes and ideas. In Shantrape (Les Mistons, 1958), 400 shots, the Wild Child (L'Enfant sauvage, 1970) and pocket money (L'Argent de poche, 1976) shows the world of childhood, and to do it with surprising warmth, humor, insight and respect to the little heroes.
