Biography Benardos Nikolai
(26.VII.1842, d. Benardosovka Kherson province - 1905, Mr.. Fastov Kiev province) Since 1862. studied medicine at the University of Kiev, in 1866. - Peter in the agricultural and forestry academy in Moscow. From 1869 to 1890. created more than 120 inventions in the field of agricultural production, life and all sorts of means of transport, energy, electrical, etc.. Best known as a pioneer of arc welding with a carbon electrode (1882), by obtaining a long arc using a special type of batteries lead acid batteries. In 1888. in Roslavl railway workshops with the participation of B. earned a strong Welding shop. In the workshops, not only brewed burnout and cracks locomotive boilers, but corrected the bronze and cast iron parts. "For a successful application to the voltaic arc welding of metals and depositing one metal on another" 11.V.1892 g. B. received from the Russian Technical Society gold medal, and 7.HII.1899 g. - Honorary electrical engineering. The museum has VRZ Roslavl exposition of AB, one of the squares of the city since January 1995. bears his name.
