Founder and first rector of the Smolensk Humanitarian University (since 1993). Graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. VI. Lenin (1982). Since August 1988. works in Smolensk State Pedagogical Institute at the Department of Pedagogy. The main area of scientific interest - the development of creative individuality teachers. Author of about 40 scientific works, among them 2 monographs.
