Arnobius, Arnobius, III / IV century. n. e., Latin speaker. Lived in the time of Diocletian in the area called sicca Venus in Numidia. Teacher Lactantius, author of apologetic works in the 7 book against the Gentiles (Adversus nationes). Recently converted to Christianity, with the zeal of a neophyte, he attacks the ancient paganism, in particular, he strongly opposes polytheism. In this controversy, he often uses the works of ancient authors, especially Varro and Lucretius.
