A vdeev Alexander F. deputy commander of the squadron of the 153rd Fighter Regiment (5-Mixed Air Division, Air Force 23rd Army, Leningrad Front) Captain. Born in 1917 in the village of Great Talenka now Tambov region, Tambov region in a peasant family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942. In 1,5 years left without a mother. Lived with grandmother. He graduated from the 7 classes of junior high school. In 1932 he moved to his father in Moscow region. After high school, trade schools in 1933, worked as a mechanic at the foundry-mechanical factory in Moscow. Simultaneously, he studied at the Podolsk Aeroclub. In the Red Army in 1937. By Komsomol sent in Borisoglebsky military aviation school. After flying school in 1939, sent to the Leningrad Military District.

Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940.

In Private World War II from June 1941. He flew on the I-153. In one battle shot down Ju-88, but he himself was shot down. Landed by parachute. With burns taken to the hospital, which spent a month. Then he returned to his regiment. In December 1941, in one of the missions of exploration discovered and photographed disguised enemy long-range batteries, for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Star. Captain Avdeev п?.пє. to January 1942 has made 189 successful sorties in the aerial combat shot down 7 enemy aircraft.

In June 1942, together with the regiment arrived in the 2-th Air Army of the Voronezh Front. August 12, 1942 over the village of Novaya Usman Novouspenskogo district of Voronezh region led by Squadron P-39D entered into battle with a large group of enemy bombers Ju-88, accompanied by fighter Me-109. Since the first attack Avdeev managed to shoot down the plane's leading group. Build bombers broke. Some of them became exempt from the bombs and turned back. Dodging fighter escort, Avdeev continued to attack the "Junkers". Soon appeared a new group of bombers. Avdeev with two slave crashed into their system, firing in short bursts. Two "Junkers" yet broken through to the goal. Avdeev rushed after them. Caught in the crosshairs sight of one of them he pulled the trigger, but the shots are not followed. Then he increased the speed and the whole mass struck at the enemy. Both aircraft exploded in the air.

Remains AF Avdeeva were discovered after the war near the village of Novaya Usman local tractor. There he is buried.

W tion of the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Fedorovich Avdeev conferred posthumously on Feb. 10, 1943.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin, Red Banner, Red Star. There are monuments and named the streets in Moscow and. New Usman.
