In September 1943, our troops carried the offensive for the liberation of the Kuban and Taman Peninsula from the Nazis. September 16, 1943 Division, which served Avetisyan, waged a stubborn battle to break through enemy defense and liberation of the Upper Bakanskogo district of Krasnodar Krai. 1 Infantry company had to storm the master height "Long", dominated the surrounding area.
