. Born September 22, 1919 in the village Yabluniv Kanevsky region, Cherkasy region into a peasant family. Ukrainetz. Member of the CPSU since 1943. In 1938 he graduated from the Pedagogical College Kanevsky. Worked as a teacher. In the Soviet Army from September 1, 1939 in the 2-m Leningrad Artillery School.
