Belogernom Volsky District, Saratov Region. Russian. He graduated from the seven-year school. In 1937, voluntarily went to the Red Army. Since the beginning of World War II until September 1943 had fought in the South, Southwest, West and Central fronts. Participated in the defense of Odessa, Stalingrad and Kursk battles to liberate Ukraine. For military distinctions were awarded medals "For Service in Battle" (1943) and "For the Defense of Odessa.
