G AIGA Osipovich Komarov, Guard, Air Force Major General, commander of the 2-Guards Attack Air Chernigov-Rechytsa Red Banner Order of Suvorov Division. Born March 13, 1905 in d. Plattsovke Ekaterinovskaya district of Saratov region. Russian. Graduated 6 classes in schools with. Moving and courses of wireless telegraphy at Saratov Post Office. In the Soviet army was called in 1925 and served in it continuously for 34 years. During the war, General Komarov showed himself fully trained and talented military commander. The division under his command was a glorious battle path, twice awarded the honorary title of liberated cities, was awarded two medals, given guard, seven times noted in the orders of the Supreme Command. Members of the division in 1944 made 6,500 sorties and displayed heroism. 13 airmen were awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, more than 500 people were awarded orders and medals.
