Krezhe Garinskogo district of Sverdlovsk region in a peasant family. Russian. Primary Education. Before conscription Chernoyarskogo lesouchastka worked as a logger, then as a loader in g. Serowe. In 1941 - 1947 he served in the Soviet Army from 1948 to 1960 - in the bodies of the militia.

N a dawn April 16, 1945 a cannonade on the Oder, heralded the beginning of the final phase of the war. Ahead was Berlin. In light of the projectors that are included at full capacity throughout the offensive zone, Sergeant Kuzovlev led his platoon in attack. Soldiers moved after barrage of artillery, slowly shifted in depth.

First time the enemy, crushed by artillery fire and the surprise night attack, organized resistance has not. Platoon Kuzovleva first burst into the enemy trench and captured 30 German soldiers and 3 officers, deafened by the explosions of shells. From the fire of our guns here, the defending 309 Infantry Division, the enemy lost up to 60 percent of its members. The first tranche have been completely overwhelmed with corpses. By seven o'clock in the morning our troops took possession of the front line of the enemy, and by evening the 23rd Guards Division broke through the entire main line of defense.

April 21, Soviet soldiers stormed the northern outskirts of Berlin. Persistent street fighting ensued, which lasted ten days in a row. Every house, block the street and had to be taken by storm. Hitler threw to defend his lair, even teenagers and the elderly.

April 23 platoon Kuzovleva approached the brick houses, in which he sat down large enemy garrison. One of our tanks, attempted to break into a nearby street, was destroyed.

Kuzovlev and his men crept close to home. The windows flew anti-tank and hand grenades. Large eruption destroyed two machine guns and a group faustnikov. Guardsmen stormed the building and began to clean his continued resistance from the Nazis.

The rescue of the garrison stronghold of the enemy approached the tanks and two self-propelled guns "Ferdinand". Kuzovlev took a comfortable position on the ground floor of a house and captured the enemy's Faust bullets lit the enemy self-propelled.
