He spent his childhood in the town of Yeisk. He worked as an assistant in the smithy, a student locksmith, minder, assistant to the driver and butter factory.
In the army since 1926. In 1927 he graduated from the Leningrad military-theoretical school Air Force in 1928 Б? Sevastopol School of Marine Pilots. He served in the military drill of the Baltic Fleet, then Б? instructor pilot in Yeiskoe school marine pilots. Since 1933 Б? in stock.
