M azuruk Ilia Pavlovich - Pilot. Born 20 (7 st.s) in July 1906 in Brest-Litovsk (now Б?  city of Brest, Belarus). Belorus. After seven years of school he worked in Orel City Party Committee. In the army since 1927. In 1928 he graduated from the Leningrad military-theoretical school Air Force in 1929 Б?  Borisoglebsk Air Force Pilot School. He served in line units the Air Force.

Since 1932 Б?  pilot, commander, Civil Air Fleet in the Far East. One of the first mastered a number of new overhead lines in Sakhalin and Kamchatka, the Northern Sea Route. In 1936 he flew in the polar aviation.

. In 1937, as commander of the TB-3 aircraft was involved in planting the first drifting research station North Pole Б?? 1 Б??.

. W tion of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Ilya Pavlovich Mazuruk awarded June 27, 1937 for courage and heroism in carrying out this task.

. In 1938-1947 Б?  Head of the Polar Aviation NSRA
. In 1939 he graduated from refresher commanders at the Air Force Academy named after NE Zhukovsky.

. Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 as commander of a bomber TB-3, performed several sorties.

. In Private World War II: from July 1941 Б?  commander of the aviation group of the Northern Fleet Air Force, since 1942 head of the Krasnoyarsk Б?  airway, . from 1943 Б?  commander 1 st ferry aircraft division, . directed ferry route from Alaska to the USSR (Krasnoyarsk) for the supply of lend-lease American aircraft.,

. In 1947-1953 Б?  Deputy Head of Research and Testing Institute GVF
. Б?  Since 1953, retired. Worked in the NSRA, made 254 flights on drifting station. In 1955-1956 Б?  flight commander of the detachment of the first marine expedition to Antarctica. In January 1956 the first landed an AN-2 at the tip of the iceberg in Antarctica.

Lived in Moscow. Died Jan. 2, 1989. He is buried in Moscow on Troekurov cemetery.

Major General Aviation (1946). Awarded 2 orders of Lenin, 3 orders of the Red Banner, 3 orders of World War 1-st degree, 2 orders of Red Banner of Labor, 3 orders of Red Star and medals, and foreign awards.
