About sipenko Alexander S. - a senior lieutenant, commander of the fighter squadron. Born June 1, 1910 in the town Tursevo Kula (now Б?  in Finland). Russian. Childhood and adolescence spent in the village Novoselki now Pochinkovskogo district of Smolensk region.

In the Soviet army from 1929. In 1930 he graduated from the Leningrad military-theoretical school Air Force in 1932 Б?  Borisoglebsk Air Force Pilot School. He served in line units air. Male Polina Osipenko (co-pilot crew VS Grizodubova committing flight from Moscow to Far East in 1938).

From January to June 1938 took part in the hostilities in Spain. Military activity began in the 1 st Fighter Squadron, on I-15 biplane. Later aviation detachment commander, who personally participated in many combat sorties. In numerous air battles and shot down a person in a group of hostile aircraft. Air group under his command destroyed in aerial combat 34 and on the ground 17 planes of the enemy.

Member of the Great Patriotic War: from 1941 Б?  Composite Air Division commander, commander of the 8 th Fighter Air Corps. Since 1943 Б?  commander of the fighter planes of Air Defense Б?  deputy commander of Air Defense Forces.

After the war he served in various command positions in Air Defense Forces. Б?  Since 1959, Lieutenant General Aviation Osipenko A.S. in stock.

In 1962-1965 Б?  Rector of the Moscow Aviation Institute. Since 1965 he worked in the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education of the RSFSR in 1972-1982 Б?  Vice President of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR.

F ill in Moscow. Died July 22, 1991. He was buried in Moscow, the Novodevichy cemetery.

. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, 3 orders of the Red Banner, Order of Kutuzov 1 st and 2 nd degree, Suvorova 2, First Class, World War 1-st degree, the Labor Red Banner, Red Star, Badge of Honor, medals.
