H ikolay Isaakovich Popov, Captain, Squadron Commander 724-Attack Air Radomski Red Regiment, was born February 13, 1920 in a. Sands Dolmatovski district of the Kurgan region in a peasant family. Russian. He graduated from the 7 classes of high school in 1936, Perm military pilots flying school in 1939, Engels Military Aviation School in 1940 and Krasnodar Pilot School in 1942. January 15, 1944 Captain Popov received the assignment to photograph the strongly fortified enemy positions located 15 kilometers northwest of Mr..
