In the Red Army in 1923. In 1924 he graduated from Sumy voennnuyu school in 1929 Б+T Kremlin command im.VTsIK school, flying club and passed the exam in the course of pilot-observer in 1934 Б+T Borisoglebsk school flight commander, in 1940 Б+T Kuksa at the Military Academy of the General Staff.
