Biography Didymus the Blind (Didymos)
Didymus, Didymos, nicknamed Blind, ca. 312-398 years. n. e., Greek Christian writer. An outstanding representative of the Alexandrian school, the defender of the works of Origen. D. had a great influence on his contemporaries. Most of his works have been lost during the origenovskih discussions. Due to the papyrus discoveries we have been able to find the missing commentary on the book of Zechariah (Bible), it was possible to add some comments, known until then only in fragments (for books: Genesis, Ecclesiastes, Psalms and Job). From the dogmatic writings D. preserved its main product of three books about the Holy Trinity (Ta peri Triados tria biblia) and Treatise on the Holy Spirit (Peri tu Hagiu Pneumatos logos) and a short treatise against Manichaean.
