He wrote about. 100 pieces, of which we are aware of approximately 60 titles and 138 excerpts. Most of the names of comedies D. repeated by other comedians, such as Brothers (Adelphoi), Merchant (Emporos), oddball (Mainomenos); some of the titles indicate the mythological themes, or at least on mythological allusions, such as Hercules, Theseus, Danaus. D. was extremely popular in Rome, his comedy oriented Plautus (in plays Rudens, Casina) and Terence.
