Biography Vmen (Eumenius)
Vmen; Eumenius, from Avgustoduna in Gaul, III / IV in. n. e., Latin speaker. Was chief of the Imperial office, while the Emperor Constantius Chlor not charged him in 297 g. supervision of schools in Avgustodune. There, in 297 g. E. a speech on the rehabilitation of schools (Pro instarandis scholis), directed to the manager of Lyon province. This speech, though not actually eulogies, was recognized as such (as it contained lot of praise to the Emperor Constance) and included number nine in Latin panegyrics (Panegyrici Latini).
