Laveykin Alexander

Astronaut Russia. Born April 21, 1951 in Moscow. In 1968 he graduated from high school. In 1974 he graduated from the Moscow Higher Technical School named after Bauman and was assigned to work at NPO Energia. Participated in the creation of a new sample space. In 1978 he enlisted in the detachment of Soviet cosmonauts (1978 a group of civilian experts? 10). It has been a full course of general space training and preparing to fly to the ship type "Soyuz TM" and orbital stations Salyut and Mir. His space flight began on Feb. 6, 1987, together with Yuri Viktorovich Romanenko as flight engineer of Soyuz TM-2.. During the 174 days he worked on board the orbital station "Mir".
