GOLODOVSKAYA Galina Andreyevna

Born March 11, 1927, Mr.. in with. Toд?nц? Monastyrshchinsky district of Smolensk region. She graduated from the Geology and Soil Sciences, Moscow State University with honors (1948).

Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1958), Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1968). Professor of Engineering and Environmental Geology, Geological Faculty (1969).

. Member of the working committee on engineering and geological mapping of the International Association of Engineers Geologists (1972), a member of the Academic Council Geological Faculty of Moscow State University (1990)
. A member of specialized councils for specialty engineering geology, hydrogeology, Geocryology at Moscow State University (1976).

Winner of USSR State Prize (1988), awarded to a group of authors for the textbook Soil. Awarded the title "Honored Worker of Science (1993), Distinguished Professor of Moscow State University (1996).

Research interests: regional engineering geology, engineering geology of mineral deposits, geo-ecology industrial regions. Developed the basic theory of geological formations in engineering geology, geological and structural approach to engineering-geological zoning. Develops theoretical and methodological problems of geo-ecology and management of the geological environment and its changes as a result of engineering and business. Founder of a new environmental research direction in the geological science - Engineering Geoecology. Objectives and methodology of such studies are processed in specific areas experiencing intense human impacts. For the first time in the practice of engineering and geological studies have been established survey and large-scale map of changes of engineering-geological conditions in the development of mineral resources in the industrial areas of permafrost, . Moscow and Moscow region, . Kansk-Achinsk coal basin in Siberia,
. Topic of Ph.D. thesis: The geological history of the formation of landslide slopes Gorky Cheboksary, the right bank of the Volga river and their engineering-geological characteristics. Subject doctoral thesis: Regional engineering geological study of areas on the basis of geological and structural analysis (for example, parts of Eastern Siberia).
