Lidin Vladimir G. (1894 - 1979), writer.
Born February 3 (15 NS) in Moscow in a family of merchants. Received a good education at home, which enabled a successful student at Moscow University, where he studied Oriental (Oriental) and the jurisprudence. In his student years, from time to time has published short stories. In 1905 he graduated from the University. In 1916 was published the first collection of short stories Lidin - Tryn-grass "in 1917 -" Hollow Water.
During the Civil War was in the Red Army, fought on different fronts, in Siberia. In the first years after the revolution, several times traveled to Western Europe and the Middle East.
