Smelyakov Yaroslav (1913 - 1972), poet.
Born December 26, 1912 (January 8, 1913 NS) in Lutsk in a family of railway workers. Early childhood in the countryside, where he received primary education, then continued teaching in Moscow seven years. Early began to write poetry.
In 1931 he graduated from the printing factory school, where he published poems in the shop wall newspaper, wrote reviews for the propaganda team. At the same time engaged in literary circles in the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" and "Ogonyok, was seen with vetlovym and Bagritski.
In 1932 came the first book of poetry Smelyakov "Work and Love," which he himself had been recruited in the printing as a professional typesetter.
In 1934, for unfounded accusations Ya Smelyakov was repressed, leaving to freedom in 1937. For several years he worked in the editorial offices of newspapers, was a reporter, wrote articles and satires.
In the early months of World War II as an ordinary soldier fighting in Karelia, was surrounded, until 1944 was in the Finnish prisoner.
