Biography KHARMS Daniil
Harms (real name - Yuvachev) Daniil Ivanovich (1905 - 1942), poet, novelist.
Born 30 December 1905 (12 January 1906 NS) in St. Petersburg, of which the whole of his life. Here he studied, there began to write the first verse. As a professional poet entered the literature in the mid 1920's, when some of his poems have appeared in anthologies.
Harms was one of the founders of the literary group Oberiu (Association of Real Art), which included the poets Alexander Vvedensky, N.3abolotsky, Yuri Vladimirov and others, the techniques used alogism, absurd, grotesque. In 1927, the House version on the stage to put a Harms "Elizabeth you". Like the other wrapped, Harms read his works at the meetings with the public, his poems and stories circulated in manuscript. In 1930 activities Oberiu as "unification formalism" was banned. Marshak, highly appreciating the talent Harms, invited him to work with children's literature. In 1928, Harms published poems for children in the magazines "Siskin" and "Hedgehog". Came out as several children's books, including such well-known as "Ivan Ivanovich Samovar", "Game", "Million".
D. Harms was arrested on Aug. 23, 1941, and February 2, 1942 died while in custody. His name was erased from Soviet literature. In 1956, rehabilitated. In 1960, his books have been reprinted, the play "Elizabeth you" returned to the theatrical repertoire.
