Biography REYHVEYN Adolf (Reichwein)
Reyhveyn, Adolf (Reichwein), (1898-1944), German professor, scholar, teacher, who was executed by Nazis. Born October 8, 1898 in Obersbahe. Participant 1-st World War, was wounded at the front. In 1930 became a professor of history of Gaul Pedagogical Institute. After the Nazis came to power, was suspended from duty and sent to a teacher in a rural school near Berlin. As an opponent of Nazism, Reyhveyn joined the resistance, was arrested by the Gestapo in 1944 and executed by sentence of the People's Tribunal.
