Biography ANRIO Francois (Francois Hanriot)
Small customs officer Francois Anrio (1759 - 1794) distinguished himself during the uprising on Aug. 10, 1792, after which he was elected commander of a battalion of the National Guard section of the sans-culottes of Paris. During the uprising 31 May 1793, Mr.. was appointed commander of the National Guard. June 2 surrounded the building of the Convention 100 thousandth armed detachment and 160 guns. Under the threat of being shot out of artillery shells Convent adopted a decree to arrest 29 leaders of the party Girondist. In all circumstances, remained a staunch supporter of Robespierre. 9 Thermidor (July 27) in 1794, after the arrest of Robespierre Anrio tried to organize a new revolt, but failed. Guillotined on July 28 along with Robespierre and his associates.
