Biography Toshiro Mifune
Toshiro was born when his parents worked in Kitae.V this country he grew up and was educated (Port Arthur). After the university was over, Toshiro learned the art of photography, and during the Second World War he served in the Army.
In 1947 he took part in the contest "New Faces", which carried film company Toho Studios, but not passed qualifying round. However, he attracted the attention of producer Kadziro Yamamoto, who recommended the youth director Senkichi Taniguchi, allowing Mifune get his first film role - a picture of "Time of the new fools".
The first success the actor has brought the role of a gangster Edzima in the movie "Across the Silver Ridge" (1947).
Around this time, Toshiro met and became friends with Akira Kurosawa. These two men were the most famous in the history of Japanese cinema creative tandem.
Their joint painting "Drunken Angel" (1948) became the first of 16 films of Kurosawa, Toshiro which created the memorable characters, full of expression and temperament.
Kurosawa's films, especially the picture of "Rashomon, Mifune made most famous in the world of Japanese actors. Their joint work was completed in 1965 during the filming of "Red Beard" (1965) because of disagreements of a personal nature.
But this did not prevent Mifune pursue a career in cinema, starring in the most important Japanese and foreign films.
Double Mifune was named best actor at the International Festival in Venice. Toshiro Participation in the American film "Grand Prix" gave the actor money, which he founded his own studio.
Since Mifune begins a production activity, as well as becoming a director of a film.
In the late 60's and early 70's pretty much withdrawn abroad - painting "Hell in the Pacific" (1968), "Red Sun" (1971) and other works . . Throughout his career, Toshiro played dozens of the most diverse roles, . among which there is a robber, . doctor, . War Minister, . legendary Japanese warrior Miyamoto Musashi, . wrote the book "Five Rings", . which lies on the table every Japanese businessman, . bodyguard, . Rickshaw and Rogozhin of Dostoevsky's novel "The Idiot", .
Among the films in which the actor participated in over 80 years, enjoyed particular success television series "Shogan" (Shogun - 1980).
In the late 80's, early 90's actor was filmed mostly in foreign films, which were not commercially successful, but represented a sample of high acting skills and good work of the entire creative team.
