Biography Malevich Kazimir
1878, Kiev - 1935, Leningrad. He studied at the Kyiv Drawing School (1895-96), in MUZHVZ (1904-5), Studio F. Rerberg (1905-10). He lived in Kiev, Moscow (1900), Vitebsk (1919-1922), Leningrad (since 1923). Member of the association "Jack of Diamonds" (from 1911). Exhibitions: "Union of Youth", "Donkey's Tail" (1911/12), "Target" (1913), "A Streetcar Named In" (1915). One of the creators and theorists of non-objective art. The exhibition "0.10" in 1915. Suprematist first exhibited works, including "Black Square". In 1920, Mr.. led a group in Vitebsk "UNOVIS". In 1923 in Petrograd, became one of the founders and head of the Institute of Artistic Culture. Malevich's works are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; SRM, St. Petersburg; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Rostov-Yaroslavl Museum-Preserve Rostov, and other gatherings.
