Latvian Air Forces participate in NATO exercises in Georgia
International Cooperative Archer 07 exercises are conducted in Tbilisi, Georgia, from July 9 to 20.
Troops from the United Arab Emirates, Albania, the United States, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Georgia, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Turkey, Germany and NATO headquarters in Ramstein, a REGNUM correspondent was told at the Latvian Air Forces press office. The task of the exercises is to improve theoretical knowledge of NATO procedures and acquiring practical skills through fulfilling tasks by armed forces units of several countries.
32 Air Forces officers, two MI-17 helicopters and an L-400 plane are participation in the exercises from the Latvian side. Cooperative Archer exercises are held twice a year, the Latvian Air Forces are participating in them for the fourth time.
