Scientists have connected Kaberuka to the brain

Unique operation managed to hold American neuroscientists. Engineers for the first time in history, managed to successfully implement a system of "wireless interface" between the brain and bionic limbs. Simply put, researchers hooked Kaberuka to the nervous system of a disabled person.

"Existing neuroprosthesis get back to people some degree of physical activity and independence, but they still highly far to dexterity and ease of application, which are characteristic of our natural hands, especially if it is about catching and grabbing some things" - quoted Professor of the Institute of Houston Jose Contreras-Vidal RIA-Novosti.

In an article published in the journal Frontiers in Neuroscience, explains that the resulting system is ordinary EEG "hat", which reads the signals of the brain, and specialized computerized method that extracts the information relating to the movement of the arms inhabitant of our planet.

This program, cap and connected thereto neuroprothesis that was installed on the stump of his hands, was tested with the assistance of the 54-year-old American-disabled person who has agreed to participate in the experiment, healthy guys and ladies who have expressed a desire to control "excessive" limb.

As demonstrated by this experience, "wireless" transmission of commands inhabitant of our planet in a cybernetic hand in no way inferior to traditional methods enable the nervous system to artificial limbs through the implantation of electrodes into the brain or nerves in the stump of his hands. For example, the mentee research workers were able to capture and lift the water bottle, credit card and other objects in 80% of cases. As suggested by researchers from the convenience of their inventions will help similar cyber-limbs quickly to get out of laboratories in medical practice.
