Scientists: old Age comes at 74
Austrian scientists have concluded that old age begins at 9 years later than was previously known. They suggested to consider the inhabitants of our planet aged 65 to 74 years old, just Mature.
Researchers from the International Institute for applied systems analysis in Vienna say that the old should be considered people after 74 years, and not after the age of 65, as was previously, informs The Telegraph. Considering the opinions of experts, the current generation aged 65-74 years is still socially energetic. Today's grandparents don't depend on relatives, work along with young and get sick less often than their peers from previous generations.
Based on these arguments, Austrian professionals suggested to be of men and ladies aged 65 to 74 years just Mature, not older. "Later, people will live longer and, consequently, to stay healthy longer. If 200 years ago, 60-year-old man was old, at the moment I'd said, in fact he is a Mature age," said Deputy head of the program on population of the world Austrian Institute Sergei Scherbov. Among other things he presented that in the future the old age will come even later.
In connection with new data, the researchers propose to revise and age of retirement, as the main economic moment. Taking into account that in Europe dominated by the elderly, and people have babies all at a later age, experts predict that after a while no one will work. Taking into account this fact, in England in 15 years plan to raise the retirement age to 68 years. Now the British retire at 65.
