Ex-world Boxing champion Lewis died in a car accident
Last favorite world Boxing by the world Boxing Association (WBA) in the weight category up to 66.7 kg Andrew Lewis died in a car accident. A terrible accident that claimed the life of a boxer, occurred in the vicinity of Guyana.
At the conclusion of the local police, the accident occurred outside Guyana, the capital of the 44-year-old boxer was riding bike and was hit by a car. As reported by BoxingScene, Lewis was taken to hospital, but to save his doctors failed. Boxer died in the infirmary from acquired injuries.
Lewis became the first boxer from Guyana, who managed to capture the world title. In 2001 he beat James page and captured free at that point belt under version WBA. This day was declared in Guyana national holiday, and Andrew in addition to other prizes received as a gift home in one of the most popular areas of the capital.
With the title of Lewis broke up in 2002, losing to Ricardo Mayorga. Performances in the ring professionally, Andrew has completed in 2008 with a record - on account of his 23 wins in 29 matches, 20 of which he ended by knockout, two lost, and in the 4th was a draw.
