Schultz: the EU is obliged to advance the abolition of visas
The European Union must move forward on visa-free regime with the countries of the " Eastern partnership ", said EP President Martin Schulz on the last working day of the week in Riga.
"I think that in matters of visas we have to move forward," Schultz said, adding that " discussions on the issue of visas are relevant not only to countries of the Eastern partnership, it is an internal discussion, the EU, and it is necessary to differentiate ".
The program "Eastern partnership" includes political Association and economic integration of the EU with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The last 3 countries last year signed the Association agreement with the EU partnership.
