In FIFA corruption scandal erupted
In International football Federation (FIFA) broke out a new corruption scandal. Several civil servants of the organization early in the morning on may 27, were arrested and extradited to the United States.
Workers of law enforcement bodies of Switzerland, without warning, raided a hotel in Zurich, where dwelt the civil servants who came to the regular meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee. The arrests were peaceful - at least 2 people on this planet who came away without handcuffs. It tells The Wall Street Journal, most of those arrested were members of a working Committee of FIFA.
According to The New York Times, criticism of corruption will be presented to 10 civil servants. Among the accused were Vice-presidents Jeffrey Webb, and Eugenio Figueredo, also adept Trinidad and Tobago's Jack Warner. The names of the remaining detainees are not reported.
It is expected that prosecutors will announce the case at a press conference in the office of the district attorney of Brooklyn. According to the publication, with all this, to be attended by the attorney General of the United States Loretta Lynch, the head of the FBI James Comey and the head of the criminal Department of the Tax service of the United States Richard Weber. Apparently, the charge will directly affect FIFA and will be a continuation of the long-standing allegations of corruption. The Federation has not given any explanation.
Note that the arrests happened 2 days before next elections of the head of the organization.
